ServeWyoming is proud to celebrate twenty-two years of AmeriCorps service in Wyoming this September 17th with a Pledge Ceremony and Mural Project to commemorate the remarkable men and women who dedicate their lives to helping others. With the help of Keep Casper Beautiful, Fort Atelier, Wyoming National Service members (Senior Corps, AmeriCorps, and VISTA), and community volunteers, ServeWyoming will be hosting a mural project to add to the 2014 design currently in the Beverly Street Underpass in Casper.
Mural painting will begin at 9:00 a.m., immediately following an AmeriCorps Pledge Ceremony and Wyoming Day of Service and Remembrance proclamation at Highland Park on Saturday, September 17th. Additional service projects will also be available to ensure everyone has a way to give back in honor of 9/11 and all those who dedicate their lives to serving others. This will be ServeWyoming’s second mural collaboration with Fort Atelier and Keep Casper Beautiful. The first was completed in 2014 as part of ServeWyoming’s AmeriCorps’ 20th anniversary and 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance. This project is also sponsored by NobleCause, made possible by an anonymous donor within the GiveWell Community Foundation and organized by Noblehour.com, a volunteer management tool that promotes a culture of civic engagement and charts meaningful, measurable acts of goodness.
Together with our partners and volunteers, ServeWyoming is excited to help make Casper an even more beautiful place to live, and to honor all those who serve our local communities, our state, and our nation. Community members interested in participating in the ServeWyoming service projects on September 17th are asked to sign up for one hour shift, from 12:00-1:00 and/or 1:00-2:00. Simply contact Jessica Stanbury at our ServeWyoming office, (307) 234-3428 or by emailing Jessica at Jessica@servewyoming.org. Space is limited so RSVP soon so you can help us add another awesome mural to Casper.
