AmeriCorps Members Wanted in Casper and Rock Springs!

CASPER SELF HELP CENTER
The Self Help Center in Casper, Wyoming is looking for a half-time AmeriCorps Member. AmeriCorps Members serve their communities and build organizational capacity to meet local needs of education and public safety while gaining real-life education and work experience. AmeriCorps members will provide services such as crisis intervention, advocating for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking, and as educators giving presentations to help develop a better awareness. Duties will include administrative duties, client intakes, client assessments, safety planning, protection orders, financial empowerment, placing clients into the Safe House, on-call answering hotline, and some weekends working at the safe house. Part-time AmeriCorps Members are required to complete 900 hours by December 31, 2016. Benefits include a modest living allowance, health insurance, training opportunities and an education award after completion.
