ServeWYoming created the Spirit of Service Awards to pay tribute to the most outstanding participants in national service programs - AmeriCorps*State and VISTA, Senior Corps, Learn & Serve Alumni - as well as an outstanding corporate or foundation partner, nonprofit organization and individuals. The awards will be presented to the winners during a special dinner ceremony on Thursday, June 19th at the 2008 Wyoming Philanthropy Days/Service and Volunteerism Conference being held in Laramie, WY, June 18-20, 2008. Please look under the Documents Tab for brief descriptions of past recipients.
Nominations of individuals and/or organizations that have made significant and lasting contributions to their communities are currently being sought. Nominees must exemplify the spirit of national service, demonstrate exceptional service or leadership, and serve as role models for others in their community.

In 300 words or less, please describe the significant and lasting contributions the nominee has made to their community. Nominees must exemplify the spirit of national service, demonstrate exceptional service or leadership, and serve as role models for others in their community. Your narrative should address one or more of the qualities listed in the call for nominations (Please look under the Documents tab) and if they are a Senior Corps or AmeriCorps member include the name of the local program in which the individual served.
